How we handle personal information
A full policy will be drafted with legal review before public launch. Until then, this page states plainly what giveafoc.org does with visitor information today.
- Information we collect: only what you type into the contact form (name, email address, optional organization, inquiry type, message) or the newsletter form (email address, optional role). The site does not ask for anything else.
- Contact form: your message is delivered by email through Resend to contact@giveafoc.org, with your email address set as the reply-to so we can answer you. AFOC does not store contact-form submissions in a database. The server keeps a short-lived, in-memory count of submissions per IP address to limit abuse; that count is not written to storage.
- Newsletter form: your email address and optional role are stored in a Supabase database table (subscribers) so AFOC can send you updates. To be removed from that list, email contact@giveafoc.org.
- Services that handle visitor data: Vercel (hosting; receives standard web-request data such as your IP address in order to serve pages), Supabase (database for newsletter subscribers), and Resend (delivery of contact-form email). These are the only services that handle visitor data on this site.
- Donations and membership: donation processing (Stripe) and membership accounts are not available on this site at this time. No payment or account data is collected until they are.
- Cookies and analytics: giveafoc.org runs no analytics and sets no tracking cookies. Membership sign-in, which would issue a session cookie, is not available.
- Children's privacy: we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
